Nicholas Turner is a home-schooled Junior who lives on a farm outside of Tucson with many animals, including a horse and four dogs. He began studying piano when he was ten and currently studies with Svetlana Arakelova.
He has been a medalist in the Tucson Music Teachers Association’s Merit Scholarship competition in both solo division and chamber division, a medalist in the Arizona State Piano Competition, and a finalist in the TSO Young Artists Competition. This year, in addition to winning the Civic Orchestra of Tucson’s Senior Piano Division of its Young Artists’ Competition, he has won gold in Tucson Philharmonic Youth Orchestra's concerto competition, and has also won gold in the Dorothy Vanek Competition and performed with Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra.
Nicholas enjoys accompanying and hopes to pursue piano performance for his career.
