Glynn Eastham
Glynn Eastham began his musical training in El Paso Texas
and by age 16 had become a member of the American Federation of Musicians and a
member of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. After several years at Texas Western
(now the University of Texas at El Paso), he joined the State Symphony Orchestra
of Chihuahua, Mexico. Over the next 45 years Mr. Eastham completed a career in
the U.S. Navy, a career in high technology in Silicon Valley, and four
wonderful years teaching young people orchestra skills in the Marana Unified
School District.
During his several careers Mr. Eastham has continued to
perform with orchestras and choirs wherever he was located. Among them are
Tucson Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco State University Orchestra, Okinawa
Concert Choral, Santa Clara Philharmonic, Nova Vista Symphony, Redwood
Symphony, Stanford University Gilbert and Sullivan Orchestra, and Mission

Mr. Eastham has been a member of the Civic Orchestra of
Tucson since 2006 and is currently active as a substitute teacher and volunteer
in the Marana Unified School District. He is also a member of the Tucson
Repertory Orchestra, sings in his synagogue’s choir and teaches private
students.
"Of all the things I have done in my life, ranked at the top
(after family, of course) is the time I have spent sharing my joy of music with
the bright young folks in MUSD."
