Hannah Kim, pianist

Hannah Kim, age 13, began piano lessons at the age of four with Dr. Ji-Young Kim. As an Honors Society member of Tucson Music Teachers Association (TMTA), Hannah often performs at Kudos recitals, Festival in the Mall, Barnes & Noble Fundraising Concerts, and Piano Ensemble concerts for the Tucson community.

Hannah has won numerous piano competitions, including first place in the Roberta Savler Piano Competition at ages seven and eight, top prizes in the TMTA Merit Scholarship Auditions, the Honors Recital Auditions by Arizona State Music Teachers Association, and the Charleston International Music Competition. She was the winner of the Jr. Piano Division of the Civic Orchestra of Tucson’s Young Artists’ Competition in 2023.

In May 2021, Hannah successfully completed level 12 of the Arizona Study Program, a comprehensive music plan for the study of piano. Hannah is in the 8th grade at Basis Tucson North and enjoys playing flute in the school band.

Hannah will perform the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 with the Civic Orchestra of Tucson on February 17, 2023.
